For beginners, a way to make money from internet giveaways is to enrol as a free member and download all of the gifts. Just one of these sites will probably hand you just about everything you require to make money on the web. But there is a better way of making money from a giveaway. You will do even more if you have a product to offer yourself, and use it to build your list.

2. Upload your offer and test your own signup process before the doors open. Most visitors will come in the first few hours.
3. Have an upsell that people will see immediately when they sign up for your gift. You could put this second offer on the same page as the download link for your free gift. I find that a relatively low priced offer works best ($5 to $15).
4. Send your subscribers the download page link in an email, even if they already went straight there after they confirmed. This means they have another opportunity to buy your upsell.
5. Stack up more emails via your autoresponder, giving either additional information or more free gifts.
6. Then you can start promoting your higher priced products (or affiliate products). Remember that the free gift should attract subscribers who will be interested in your later offers, so choose your free gift carefully.
7. Always promote the giveaway. If you do not yet have a list, there are plenty of free advertising methods such as safelists. Do some promotion every day. This will increase your contributor points so your gift is displayed higher on the list.
8. If there is a contributor upgrade where you have the chance to buy your gift a higher slot, I always take it. It pays.
Last but not least, keep logging in to see what is happening. Is your free gift getting as many signups as others on the same page? How is your second offer converting? Are your new subscribers staying on your list? There are so many things that you can alter to improve your sales.
